I have a country girl heart for sure, but that Cali life-I could get used to it. The views are never-ending and I love a good beach. My husband and I flew out to LA last weekend and I’m still dreaming of our little sunshine getaway. We arrived at the cutest Airbnb ever, with a pool, hot tub, and ping pong table. Pat and I rarely wanted to leave our place. Most of the trip was spent down by Santa Monica Pier which is very touristy. The first night we arrived we grabbed sushi with my brother-in-law Kyle and his girlfriend Rachael. We ordered way too many rolls, but is that even a thing – too many rolls? No, I don’t think so.
We relaxed most of Thursday and Friday. On Saturday we woke up at 4 a.m. to head to El Matador Beach for a sunrise engagement session. I was so excited to meet Katie and Jonathon and capture the perfect California sunrise session. I also connected with a photog from Florida, Nicole Earl Photography. She was visiting her brother, so she met up with us too! It was such a good time getting to work alongside another photographer and incorporating both of our styles and ideas for this session. Jonathon is actually a videographer from California, which made all the prompts flow with ease. Katie and Jonathon were down for any and everything. At the end of the shoot, they hopped into the very cold water and tried to steam things up. Scroll down to check out our romantic California Sunrise engagement shoot!
I loved getting to visit California. I’ll actually be traveling back there this December for more fun photoshoots like these. If you are in the area and are looking for a photographer, don’t forget, I travel!
