Alaska sparkles! This magical styled shoot was set in the pristine winter wonderland of Hatcher Pass Lodge, AK. The bright white, snow-covered Talkeetna Mountains provide a striking juxtaposition between the cozy, red cabin peaks. Skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers covered the slopes.
Pat and I met Genevieve the wedding planner, and Sarah and Grey the models, at the very top of Hatcher Pass. The cabins made for the perfect backdrop so we started our short trek through the 4 feet of snow to reach them. Fresh snowflakes started to fall, and our fingers and toes started to feel the cold.
Grey’s tailored suit looked striking when cozied up next to Sarah’s bejeweled a-lined gown and fur stole, which transformed her into a snow globe princess. Anderson’s Bride picked out the most stunning one-of-a-kind gown for Sarah.
The dreamy ivory-colored bouquet was created by Paper Peony. A romantic arrangement with eucalyptus, dusty miller, roses, spray roses, stock, Queen Anne’s lace, and delicate wax flowers. The mixture of textures was the elegant touch that helped create this fairytale Alaskan scene.
Sweet Herbivore a local Anchorage baker created the most delicious vegan, organic vanilla cupcakes. Cranberry topped, with peppermint buttercream and filled with yummy chocolate ganache. Frosted pinecones and timber pillars with a touch of greenery made for the perfect sweetheart table in the heart of Hatcher Pass.
I want to thank the vendors that helped put together this magical winter elopement.
