I visited NOLA for the first time last weekend. My husband Patrick, mother-in-law Kay, Piper (our Frenchie), and I packed up our car and took a little weekend getaway. We stayed at the cutest Airbnb, ate tons of food, and walked miles exploring downtown New Orleans. Friday I scoped out the perfect spots for my morning session I had on Saturday. I met Erin and Blayne near the French Market to start our 7:30 am shoot before the streets filled up with tourists. Erin and Blayne are from Texas and were also visiting NOLA with Family. We grabbed a few shots near a few palms that gave off major Hawaii vibes (take me back!) and then headed down the street towards the St. Louis Cathedral. While we made our way down a few people started hollering at us to stop! We looked down the street and five officers were pointing AR-15s up at the top of a balcony where a man was yelling down at them. BIG NOPE. We turned down another block to avoid that chaos. We stopped in front of Tableau, a restaurant where Pat, Kay, and I had brunch on Friday and it was amazing. The street was very colorful which made for stunning pictures. When I told Blayne to dip Erin HE DID JUST THAT. Every little pose came naturally to them. Dancing in the streets of NOLA? No big deal. Make out sesh in front of restaurants packed with people? HOLLA. I had such a great time getting to hang out with these two. This is why I love this job so much, I get to meet amazing couples like this and capture their memories and their love. MY FAVORITE!
